Scene and Heard Community Theatre
Situated in Somers Town behind Euston Station is the Scene and Heard Community Theatre. The theatre is currently housed in the former church house of St. Pancras Old Church, one of the only historic buildings on the street. Somers Town has seen an unusual amount of regeneration and redevelopment during the past 100 years, resulting in almost no historic fabric remaining. To address this the proposal for a new theatre suggests to preserve select elements of the existing building and incorporate them into the new design. These elements are captured within a series of steel shells and manipulated to match the functions of the new structure.

Middelgrundsfortet: Energy Island
The second proposal looks at how to transform the redundant sea fort ‘Middelgrundsfortet’, the worlds largest man made island, near Copenhagen into an ‘Energy Island’. An island for promoting and researching wind energy. The man made island is the ultimate artificial habitat and the proposal intents to start an investigation into the architecture of the sea or the offshore vernacular. Initially this is done by designing a series of barges that slot into carved gaps in the island. Together these barges shape buildings and structures serving a series of programmes related to wind energy.
